Christian Story, Belief, and Formation
In this series we are walking through the meta-narrative of Scripture while viewing it through the lens of the Christian Story, Christian Belief, and Christian Formation.
What we mean by that is this, the Christian story we learn about the nature and character of God as He has revealed Himself to us, in His Word and through the person and work of Jesus Christ.
The Christian story then informs our Christian beliefs, what we believe about God and how He has designed His creation to operate, often times called “doctrines” of the Christian faith.
And finally, Christian Formation helps us take those informed beliefs and applying them to every sphere of life.
As we walk through this narrative of the Scriptures, you get a bigger picture of God’s nature and character, the depths of the fall, God’s beautiful plan for redeeming His people, and His glorious return, making all things new!
