Plain-English version: We take photos and video at our Sunday gatherings and church events. We use these to tell the story of our church on this site, on social media, and in printed materials. If you do not want to be photographed, tell a greeter or email us. We will keep your face out of public materials.
Why we take photos and video
We document church life so visitors, supporters, and members of our community who could not be there can see what God is doing among us. Photos and video may appear:
- On thedistrict.church and any of its pages
- In our weekly Word of the Week email
- On our YouTube channel, Instagram, and Facebook
- In printed handouts, posters, and reports for partners and supporters
- In sermon recordings that include shots of the gathering
What you are agreeing to
By attending our Sunday gatherings or other public events at The District Church, you understand that photography and recording may occur, and that the resulting images and recordings may be used by The District Church for the purposes listed above without separate payment or notification.
If you do not want to be photographed
Tell a greeter on the way in, or email info@thedistrict.church. We will make a note and keep your face out of public materials going forward. If a photo of you has already been published and you want it removed, email us and we will take it down from any platform we control within a reasonable time.
Kids
If you are a parent or guardian and do not want your child photographed, please tell our Little District kids ministry team when you check them in. We do not publish identifying close-ups of minors without explicit consent from a parent or guardian.
Photos taken by third parties
If a non-church photographer (a journalist, a wedding photographer, a family member, etc.) takes photos at our space, they own those photos and their use is governed by their own arrangement, not by this release.
