Ministries

Seven ways to go deeper in discipleship.

Every ministry here is a tool for discipleship, from Community Groups through the week to Little District for kids. Start by showing up on a Sunday in South Broad Ripple, and a greeter will point you to the rest.

Little District

Little District exists to show Jesus to kids so that they grow up to treasure Him and tell others about Him.

At Little District, we come alongside and support families in their responsibility to raise and disciple their kids. Each weekend, we provide a kid-friendly and safe environment for kids 0-10 years old where kids can learn about Jesus from the Bible in addition to what parents already teach and train their children throughout the week.

Little District is an option, not a requirement for families. We welcome kids in our Sunday Gathering as well for them to sing to Jesus, pray, and hear from God's Word with their parents.

Community Groups

We gather together in smaller groups throughout the week, called Community Groups, to share life and the Gospel with one another.

Groups are where we best apply the rhythms of Acts 2:42-47. We do this to learn about Jesus, pray, eat, laugh, live, and serve one another and our neighbors.

Joining a Community Group is not required, but is vital in understanding and advancing the mission of The District Church to treasure Jesus and help others follow Him.

City Renewal

God has given The District Church the responsibility to seek the welfare of the city for God's glory.

City Renewal exists so that biblical justice, mercy, faithfulness, beauty, and hope pervade every aspect of our city's culture.

City Renewal is a mindset and commitment to see “all of Christ for all of life.” Therefore we strive to serve our community's education system, government agencies, small businesses, and social spaces.

Church Planting

To fulfill the Great Commission, more churches must be planted around the world. The District Church was planted from the combined efforts of Soma Church, White House First Baptist Church, and Desire Church, along with many other supporting churches throughout our journey. We also partner with multiple church planting networks which include the Harbor Network, Summit Collaborative, and Send Network to help plant and establish churches throughout North America and the end of the earth. Our goal is to send out 31 full-time missionaries and church planters by 2030.

Men's Ministry

Our Men's Ministry exists to help men follow Jesus with integrity, courage, and faithfulness in every area of life. In 1 Corinthians 16:13, the Bible calls men to “act like men.” That's not “toxic masculinity,” it's God-ordained, God-inspired, and God-given design. In a world that often pulls men toward isolation or passivity, we believe God calls men into brotherhood. Men who pursue Christ together, sharpen one another in truth, and stand firm in faith.

Through Scripture, prayer, and hard and honest conversations, we create spaces where men can grow as disciples, leaders, husbands, fathers, and friends. This ministry isn't about having it all together. It's about showing up, training together, and becoming the men God has called us to be: self-ruled men who rule well and win the world.

Women's Ministry

Our Women's Ministry exists to help women know Jesus deeply, walk with Him faithfully, and live on mission together in every season of life. Whether you're new to faith, returning to church, or have followed Christ for years, this ministry is a place where you can belong, be encouraged, and grow. We believe God shapes us best in community and shared experience, so we gather regularly to open Scripture, pray for one another, and build authentic relationships rooted in grace and truth.

We are women pursuing Christ, not perfection, learning to trust Him more fully and to love one another well. You don't have to have it all together to join us. Just come as you are, and let's walk this journey together.

Prayer

Prayer is not a side ministry of the church. It is the foundation of everything we do. Our Prayer Ministry exists because we believe God moves powerfully when His people seek Him together. Through prayer, we align our hearts with God's will, carry one another's burdens, and boldly ask Him to bring healing, wisdom, renewal, and breakthrough.

This ministry creates space for our church family to slow down, listen to the Holy Spirit, and depend on God rather than our own strength. Whether you're walking through a season of need or simply longing to grow deeper in your faith, we invite you to join us every Sunday morning before the gathering as we pray expectantly and trust God to do what only He can do.
