5 CORE MINISTRIES

MINISTRIES

At The District, our desire is to glorify God by making and multiplying disciples. Therefore, all of the ministries we offer fall under the umbrella of intentional discipleship. From teaching our children to know and love Jesus to connecting believers in community to engaging our neighborhoods with the Gospel, each of our ministries are a tool for discipleship.

FOR THE KIDS

LITTLE DISTRICT

Little District exists to show Jesus to kids so that they grow up to be like him and go tell others about him.

At Little District, we want to partner with families in teaching and caring for their kids. Each weekend, we provide a kid-friendly and safe environment where kids can learn about Jesus from the Bible.

FOR THE ADULTS

COMMUNITY GROUPS

We gather together in smaller groups throughout the week – called Community Groups, to share life and the Gospel with one another. We do this to learn about Jesus, pray, eat, laugh, live, and serve our neighborhoods. Becoming part of a Community Group is vital in understanding our mission at The District Church.

If you have any questions about Community Groups, email josh@thedistrict.church

FOR THE COMMUNITY

CITY RENEWAL

God has given The District Church the power to change her surrounding communities for God’s glory.

Our city renewal ministries all contribute towards community renewal so that justice, mercy, faithfulness, beauty, and hope pervade every aspect of our city’s culture.

FOR THE EMERGING LEADER

INTERNSHIPS

Internships & Residencies at The District develop emerging leaders for the church and the world through mentoring, training, and practical ministry.

Our vision is to equip the next generation to love, lead, and serve within the local church. We are looking for interns/residents who desire to see the mission of The District advance the Gospel in Indianapolis, are ready to be further equipped and trained for ministry through holistic (head, heart, and hands) training and growth, and are future leaders trying to discern a call to ministry within the local church.

FOR THE FUTURE PASTOR

CHURCH PLANTING

The District was planted out of Soma Church, another church-planting church in Indianapolis. The District Church is in multiple partnerships which include the Sojourn Network whose mission is to help pastors plant, grow, and multiply healthy churches that last, the SEND network of the North American Mission Board whose vision is to see new churches planted in the 33 highest unchurched cities in North America, the Summit Network whose mission is to equip leaders to plant and multiply Gospel-centered churches, and the Texas Baptists whose mission is to plant churches that connect people to God.

If you are discerning a call for church planting and are interested in becoming a church planting resident with The District Church, fill out the Church Plant Resident Application.
